SAD is no joke, even if you’re in the south

I have the best of both worlds now

Yes, it’s true. There is such a thing called SAD. This stands for Seasonal Affected Disorder. And, yes, I have it. I’ve had it all my life. When I was a kid, I remember that my mood would darken the more the skies darkened. My well-meaning parents just assumed that I had some sort of lake house fever & regularly just turned up the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C. This is logical to do, considering I would perk right up once the sunshine came out again as we transitioned to the Spring. But, this pattern repeated itself over & over for many years. I was finally officially diagnosed when I was away studying at university. There absolutely isn’t too much to it. I need adequate sunshine because my body has some sort of vitamin D deficiency. I finally started paying attention to how much UV light I was exposed to. When the weather wasn’t cooperative, I even used a sunshine lamp. That thing works but not like the real sun. Eventually, I chose to live in the South so I could be in the healthy sunshine much more. This was the best decision I ever made. Nowadays, I have a sunroom built on to the side of our home and there is a mini cut ductless heating & cooling proposal installed in there. I definitely would not be able to ever sit out there for 5 hours while I was stuck in the Summer separate from standard Heating, Ventilation, & A/C cooling devices. I have the best of both worlds now. There is a tremendous amount of daily sunshine that I can access nearly any time that I want. And, it is 100% Heating, Ventilation, & A/C controlled.
