It is not a usual thing that I ever buy something from a telemarketer or a door to door sales rep. I usually hang up the phone or don’t answer if I know it is a sales call. However the other month I decided to answer the door for one of these people because they were young and looked like a college kid just trying to make a few extra bucks while going to school. So I knew I wasn’t going to be dealing with your typical sleazy and dishonest scammer that these people usually are. The kid was selling an HVAC service plan for a local heating and air conditioning company that I have dealt with in the past. So I knew that this heating and air conditioning company was legit and not some run of the mill fly by night. The HVAC service plan that they were offering did not sound bad at all and I actually had been thinking about getting an HVAC service plan with some heating and air conditioning company. So I figured why not do it now and help this college kid make a sale all at the same time.
