I still didn’t receive a response after an additional 30 minutes, so I decided to stop working and go home.
I was the only one working in the office on Saturday. I went to finish the end of the month paperwork for the billing department. I was only planning on spending a couple of hours in the office, so I told my guy that I would be home for lunch. Everything was going as planned until the AC stopped working. I didn’t feel any cold air coming out of the ductwork. I thought it was just one vent, but I worked carefully around the office and I didn’t feel cold air anywhere. The thermostat was running and I could hear the AC working. Unfortunately, the only thing coming out of the duct where it was a steady stream of warm air. I didn’t want to contact my boss, because it was Saturday. I didn’t feel like I had a choice, so I picked up the phone and dialed his number. I called and left a message and tried to get some more completed. After 30 minutes, I decided to text and call. I still didn’t receive a response after an additional 30 minutes, so I decided to stop working and go home. It was half past 10 at that time and the temperature in the office was only getting warmer and warmer. I turned off the thermostat to the AC, so we could at least save some money on the electric bill. There seemed no reason to continue to let the AC run if there wasn’t any cold air coming out of the vents. I continued to call my boss throughout most of the day and he didn’t call me back until eight at night.
